HOW IT ALL STARTED
The Trotman Auto Group is a second generation family business, founded by George Trotman in Abbotsford, BC in 1971. Mike Trotman succeeded his father in 1998 at Langley Chrysler to become the youngest Dealer Principal in Canada at 26.
In 1999, Langley Chrysler became Canada’s first ISO 9002 Certified dealership. The next year, they achieved Chrysler’s 5 Star Certification.
In 2003, the brothers expanded from one dealership to include Comox Valley Dodge and Comox Valley Toyota on Vancouver Island. From there the Auto Group grew to include Alpine Toyota (2008), Abbotsford Hyundai (2010), Abbotsford Chrysler (2011), Langley Fiat (2013), Mainland Ford (2014), White Rock VW (2014), Sunshine Coast GM (2018), and White Rock Dodge (2018).
Today the Trotman Auto Group is a recognized leader in our community and the automotive industry, known as much for our compassion and generosity as we are for our service, selection and value, employing over 550 team members, representing 12 OEM brands at 11 dealership locations across BC.
It is run and majority owned by the Trotman Brothers. Mike Trotman, CEO, is responsible for the overall growth and strategic direction of the business. Mitch and Brad Trotman, Presidents, oversee the Fraser Valley/Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland/Kootenay regions respectfully.
